Sourcing

I’ve completed a number of renovations projects, the latest being my own Georgian home. It was a huge project – everything taken back to brick, electrics/heating/water supply replaced, walls and ceilings brought down and rebuilt. And then the fun bit started – adding back in all the beautiful touches…the chevron wooden floor, the cornicing, architrave, original doors, fireplaces.  Except because the budget had been spent on the essentials (£5k on chimneys anyone?!) there was very little left in the pot to do the nice stuff.  So I spent hours scouring places for the perfect items at knockdown prices. My kitchen was ex display, sourced from a designer kitchen shop – retail value £10k, I paid £1200.

Kitchen Reno

Our budget wouldn’t extend to Crittall doors for the back … so I found a set of solid wood doors from a Lebanese restaurant in London, and had my joiner repurpose them.

Repurposed Restaurant Doors

Same with fire surrounds – solid marble with an RRP of around £2000, mine from auction for £250.

Recent jobs included sourcing a couple of kitchens after the renovation of two rental flats by a developer, and antique doors for a bespoke wardrobe (much cheaper, superior quality and far more beautiful than the typical built in wardrobes)

Whether its a specific piece of furniture or artwork, or you’re looking for a new kitchen/bathroom at a great price, then I can help. I can also arrange delivery within the UK and Europe. International delivery is possible, depending on what the item is and its location.

Trade Discounts

Most people go to a handful of high street shops or a few online retailers – but there’s thousands out there, many selling much better quality or unique items for the same price or substantially cheaper. As an Interior Designer, I often qualify for Trade Discounts which I will pass on to you.
